People love coffee; like, really love coffee. About 2 billion cups of coffee are drunk each day worldwide — that’s a lot of coffee. Plenty of people start their day with a cup to clear the morning fog and get going. Plenty more will grab a cup in the afternoon when they start to feel sluggish.
It’s safe to say that a good chunk of people actually are addicted to coffee; about 30% of Americans drink more than three cups of coffee every day &mdash, and that’s not accounting for how large those coffees may be. You really shouldn’t exceed (roughly) 32oz of coffee, otherwise, you’re going over the daily recommended amount of caffeine that is safe for human consumption.
And yet, plenty of people blow past that threshold daily. Some people can’t get by without excessive coffee intake. Ever see those 32oz coffees? That’s a lot to have in one go. It can be unhealthy to drink so much coffee and ingest too much caffeine every day. That’s why it may be time to switch over to kratom capsules for a little pep when you feel sluggish.
As we mentioned, coffee delivers a kick of caffeine which essentially tells your brain you’re more awake than you feel you are. Too much caffeine can lead to nausea, headaches, nervousness and anxiety, and an increased heart rate. That’s a lot of adverse effects to have to deal with to not feel tired in the morning or afternoon.
Kratom, however, gets its stimulating boost from its alkaloids, and it actually does give you more energy, rather than tricking your brain into thinking it does. If you’re looking for a quick boost of energy from kratom, you’ll want to look into the white vein variety as it is known for providing the most energy without a drop-off after a few hours, which leads us to our next point.
Efficacy over time
If you’ve ever had coffee, you know that after a little bit, the effects start to wear off, and you’re right back to feeling bogged down and sleepy. A lot of people will go back for another cup, again and again, to try and stave off the urge to take a nap. That crash, as it’s known, is probably the only real downside to drinking coffee.
On the other hand, kratom capsules provide energy and clarity that lasts for hours without a crash. If you’re a fan of the flavor of coffee on its own, you may choose that option, but as we mentioned, too much coffee can lead to some adverse side effects.
Clearly, coffee is not great for sleep (unless you’re drinking decaf, and then it’s not helping you fall asleep, it’s just not making you jittery late at night). While white vein kratom isn’t recommended for sleep, red vein kratom excels at helping you fall asleep. We actually wrote a blog about using kratom powder for sleep – you should check that out.
